Installation Instructions

Wall Connectors

  • Start by measuring the opening to cover.  Determine the number of panels required to meet your opening.  Basic panel dimensions are shown to the right.  Mark the location of the left and right side wall connectors.

  • Attach both wall connectors to the permanent wall using the holes provided in the wall connectors prior to installing the rest of the panels.  See picture.  (Drill other holes if needed.)   The wall connector with the panel connectors should be placed on the left side of the barricade when facing the opening to be covered.  The wall connector without the panel connectors should be placed on the right side of the opening.  Use a level and shims to ensure that the wall connectors are attached plumb in both directions.

Joining Panels

  • Place the lower right corner of a panel in the left side of a floor bracket.  Note:  If this is the last panel you are installing, the right side that attaches to the wall connector will not have a floor bracket.

  • Panels should be installed from the left working towards the right when facing the opening.

  • Butt up the left side of the panel to another panel, slipping it over the other panel’s floor bracket.  Note:  If this is the first panel you are installing, the left side that attaches to the wall connector will not have a floor bracket.

  • Tighten connectors from top to bottom by turning each connector clockwise.

Making Corners

  • Attach the corner panel in the same way as the other panels.  Attach another panel after it.  Then grabbing that panel, walk it around to make the corner panel bend into position.

Door Panel

  • The door panel has two panel connectors that hold it closed during installation and disassembly.  Simply loosen them, slide them over, and retighten them to operate the door.  Note:  During disassembly move the two panel connectors on the door to the closed position to prevent movement of the door.

Ceiling Brackets

  • Ceiling brackets are required on all joints that are parallel to the wall.  Place the ceiling brackets into the two slots at the top, where the panels meet using a rubber mallet as both panels are installed.  Attach the other end to the wall.  Caution:  Do not install additional panels without securing the previous set using the ceiling brackets.

Floor Brackets

  • Floor brackets are to be installed at every joint in the system with exception of the wall connector joints.  Measure the distance from the wall to the barricade to ensure that the barricade maintains equal distance from the wall.  Duct tape the floor brackets to the floor after both panels are installed.

Disassembly

  • Remove one panel at a time starting from the right side, removing each floor and ceiling bracket as each panel is removed.  Note:  Move the two panel connectors on the door to the closed position to prevent movement of the door during disassembly.
